My recent illustration series began as a collage-based visual exploration inspired by the medieval manuscript Aja’ib al-Makhluqat (“Wonders of Creation”). Drawing on its imaginative depictions of mythical creatures and natural phenomena, I developed mixed-media compositions that merge traditional collage with digital layering. Expanding this process, I used AI tools to generate new visual variations, reinterpreting the original motifs through contemporary machine-assisted aesthetics. These AI-enhanced images have now become the foundation for a new animation project that transforms static illustrations into evolving, hybrid worlds where the boundaries between human imagination and artificial creation blur.
